Healer's Touch

Healer's Touch is a thrilling read that continues where the first book of this series left off, throwing you into the deeper plot behind Rites of the Healer. Sixteen-year-old Dovella is a Village healer and engineering apprentice, who has just returned from her exhausting journey to discover the mystery behind the Machine's failure to bring water to the village. But soon Dovella discovers that the adventure is not over yet.

It turns out that an evil Plains sorcerer, Fvlad, is trying to use his many powers to take over the Village. Dovella must travel to the village of shagines to enhance her newfound powers so she can protect herself from Fvlad's powers. But Fvlad has other plans...he believes that Dovella is one of the many gifted ones, and that she is the key to an ancient prophecy. Snatching Dovella from the village of shagines, Fvlad hopes to use her as a weapon in the battle that is soon to come.

Can Dovella find the strength to escape? Has she learned enough from the shagines to protect her mind? Find out in this amazing read that left me speechless and yearning for more from Anne Gray.

Healer's Touch is the perfect book for those who enjoy a good adventure full of suspense, excitement, and sorcery. I would rate it four and a half stars out of five for its unique plot that drew me into the story.

A good healer cures the ailment, not the symptoms. Healer's Touch follows a young woman named Dovella, gifted with the power of healing. A sorcerer bent on domination threatens her home, and Dovella seems to be the only one able to resist him. Dovella must master her natural gift, or Fvlad the Sorcerer isn't going to have much opposition for his plans. Healer's Touch is a solid fantasy that will grip the genre's fans all the way through.
